Week Ten!

My tenth week working at Swansway Chester has been quite a slow week. I haven't had much videos to do because I've managed to get most of them done. So this week I have tried to learn more about the Peugeot and Citroen range. I have been spending more time inside the cars and learning the ins and outs. I feel like doing this has been very important for my future videos as I will know more about the cars and will therefore be able to explain on my videos in more detail. Moving forward I think that my videos will now be of a better class.

Week Nine!

This week in work I attempted to reach my goal of finishing all the used cars videos at Peugeot. I was on track to reach my goal however just when I thought I would finish 5 more used cars came in on the friday. I'm not that worried about missing my goal because I would have if the cars weren't delivered - so in a way I was able to get what I wanted done. Other than this I had a pretty standard week. Nothing exciting really happened I just got my head down and did my job. Short one this week.

Week Eight!

I've managed to get all the used cars videos done over at Citroen! So until any more cars come in my main priority is to do the same for Peugeot.  I have also been working on E-clincher posting used car adverts on Facebook for both Citroen and Peugeot. I like to break my day up by doing one video then one post, I believe that this keeps things interesting. I don't like sitting down all day and doing one thing so splitting the desk work up with the practical work is good for me and I think it allows for me to do my best work. My goal for the end of next week is to get all the used car videos done at Peugeot.

Week Seven!

Finishing my Seventh week working with Swansway I can happily say that I feel fully settled in. I know everyone in both garages and people are starting to get used to me being here. I believe in my first few weeks it took me a while to get some things done however now I know everyone and know how everything works I am able to get jobs done much more efficiently. I am enjoying helping around the showroom and feel that now I know what I'm doing I am a much more valuable member of the team. I am able to get my main jobs for the day done and also help out other people get their jobs done. I have been going to get fuel for hand over cars and I really enjoy helping out as much as I can.

Week Six!

After my Sixth week of work at both Citroen and Peugeot showroom garages I have been fitting in more and more with the team. I believe that I am closer with the lads from Citroen however I have a good laugh with the lads at Peugeot too. I wouldn't say that I have a favorite garage because I enjoy working at both and both have their good and bad. There's only one bad thing I can say about splitting my focus between two garages is and that's there is not enough days in the week for me to spend equal time at both. Again I have been working on my used car videos however I have been helping about around the showroom more - moving cars and just doing odd jobs for people. I'm enjoying working more and more and the longer I work here the better it seems to be getting! I hope it continues to go so well.

Week Five!

This week I started off at Citroen where I continued working on getting as many used car videos done as I could. Getting on well and I can feel that every video that I do I am learning more and more about the Peugeot and Citroen range and therefore the more videos I do the better I get.
Later in the week at Peugeot I had to drive an automatic transmission car. I have never drove an automatic before, so one of the sales execs Dave taught me how to drive an automatic car. Autos are a bit weird and I think it'll take some time to get used to them currently I much prefer manual cars - maybe because that's what I'm used to?

Week Four!

Moving into my first month of working at both Peugeot and Citroen and overall I must say that I am really enjoying it! For this being my first full time job in the motor trade industry I have had a warm welcome
into both teams by all staff members and they have made me feel right at home. I am much more confident in my abilities to complete my work now than I was when I started and I can feel myself improving everyday. I look forward to seeing my own progress moving forward.

This week again I worked on getting videos done for used cars at both Peugeot and Citroen. I feel that I am understanding more about Peugeot and Citroen cars and what to say in these videos. I'm having lots of fun working and look forward to every new day at work. I feel like I've found a good job that I enjoy and has the right balance of challenge that I need to keep me on my toes doing my best work.

Week Three!

Moving into my third week of work, Jay has given me a timetable of the days that I will be at each site. This will allow me to split focus between both sites and so I know where to go each day of the week.
As you can see here I am working 1 day more at Peugeot. This is because Jay believes that there will be more for me to do over at Peugeot. This week I have been working on the videos just like last week however this weekend it is the V.I.P event at both sites so I have been helping sales with setting up the flags and balloons on thursday and friday. Along with this I advertised the V.I.P event on both Peugeot's and Citroen's Facebook pages.

Week Two!

In my second week I went over to Peugeot and got to know the team. Similarly to Citroen once I got there I had a quick tour around the building and met all the members of the team. Moving later into the week Matt the sales manager taught me how to use CitNow. CitNow is the software that the sales team use to send videos out to their customers. He taught me how to record a video and how to upload it onto YouTube. After this he let me go out and take a video of one of the cars that needed one and let me upload it to the Swansway YouTube channel. After this teaser he taught me how to check what cars need a video doing and how to upload them from YouTube to the AutoTrader listing. I then spent the rest of the week doing videos and uploading them.

First Week at Swansway!

My first week on the job started on Thursday the 27th of February 2020. I came into the Citroen showroom garage and was greeted by the girls on service while I waited for the big boss Jay to be ready for me. After having a quick chat with Jay he helped me get set up on one of the sales computers. My first impressions on Jay were that he is a very down to earth and he made me feel right at home. Moving on the first group of people I met was the sales executives in the office - they also made me feel welcomed and soon after one of the sales lads, Dan gave me a tour of the whole place over at Citroen and introduced me to everyone that works there.

The main things I did for this week was getting used to the showroom and where everything is. Getting given codes for the key cupboards and doors along with passwords for log ins. The first week was great and I felt very welcomed by all the people at Citroen. I look forward to going over to Peugeot and doing the same sort of things getting to know everyone over there next week.
